so i stated i might be getting new 30mm brakes in my last post, to explain why i said NEW 30mm...
a long time ago i purchased from a local dbag sold me some "30mm" alum front brakes from a z32, "circuit sports" 30mm cross drilled/slotted and conversion lines, all new hardware... now i painted the brakes and everything but i never really took a good look at measuring them, just checking if they were aluminum or iron and that's about it...
about a month ago my front passenger side caliper is locking up making a loud clunk noise, since i new i had those around here lying around i went to get some autozone pads (till i get better rotors and rebuild the calipers, so i would then get some hawk HPS or axxis ultimate pads)sooooooooooooo the day came to install and after some trouble and not being able to get the rotor to spin, even took the rotors to get checked if the drilling was mad correctly for the 4x114.3 (im still not 5 lug till i get coils and a decent set of wheels)... i noticed the calipers were 26mm, i think the dbag measured them and since they space to 30mm he thought they were 30mm... my stupidity for trusting morons from PR and not checking... theeeen i notice that the lines and calipers are missing the damm fitting to connect the lines to the calipers... had to go back to stock for the moment...
now, im selling the 26mm calipers to get the 30mm and already ordered the earl's fitting from summit... let's see when i get to fix the brakes now... this was a bigggggg FML
on the other hand got most of the interior done, just need to plug in the + and ground wires for the gauges and boost controller, fixed the turbo timer which wasn't working for who knows what reason...
pics will be up when im finished...
